Step Three is a decisoin to step out of bodage to what we can’t control, or cure. It’s also an action: life-changing, sanity restoring step,

Refresher: Another member of  AA in a meeting I attend developed a way to start working the Twelve Steps – using The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, and The Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions.   I am passing along what I am working – step-by-step, and have inserted some Bible verses that both convict and comfort me.

Review please what you learned on steps 1 & 2

Do you have any questions – this step is a place to think about them.

 

Are you ready for Step 3?

 

Step 3: Made a decision to turn our will ad our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.

 

  1. Write out the way you understood God and write in detail how you understand Him today.

 

  1. Read in the Big Book, Chapter 5, page 58 to the bottom of page 63.

 

  1. Memorize the third step prayer and take this step this week, either with a spiritual friend, or the group.
